Primary Care Joint Commissioning Committee

From 1 April 2015, CCGs were able to take on greater commissioning responsibility for GP services.  The primary care co-commissioning arrangements are part of a series of changes set out in the NHS Five Year Forward View to deliver a new deal for primary care.  These changes were put in place to give patients, communities and clinicians more involvement in deciding local health services.

From November 2015, the CCG will hold a joint commissioning committee with NHS England and will meet in public. The role of the committee is to make decisions on the review, planning and procurement of primary care services in the area.  Each meeting will begin at 1.45pm.

The Primary Care Joint Commissioning Committee will meet bi-monthly and will be held in public.  All are welcome to attend and observe the meeting.
