Making Every Contact Count

NHS Warwickshire North CCG supports Making Every Contact Count (MECC) in a bid to achieve positive long-term behaviour change. This initiative started in April 2013 and is an ambitious programme that offers brief intervention training to frontline staff within health and social care services. The aim of the training programme is to help encourage staff to have a brief conversation with patients and members of the public about healthy lifestyles.

If people in north Warwickshire, Nuneaton and Bedworth made the choice to improve their diet, take regular exercise, drink alcohol within the recommended daily limits, stop smoking and maintain a healthy weight, the benefits to their health, both physical and mental, would be enormous.
