General Practice is at the heart of our local health and social care system, providing essential general medical services to local people and acting as the first point of contact for referral to wider health and social care services.
A growing population, increasing demand for an “always open” NHS and more complex patient needs mean we need to ensure our GP practices are:
- Fit for purpose, safe and support high-quality service provision
- Making the best use of the health, social and care buildings and land available to us
- Seeing investment which will achieve better outcomes for our population.
The CCG is committed to working with partners and the local population to improve health and wellbeing. We are also committed to providing inceeased primary care capacity to meet the needs of the local population. Finally, the CCG is committed to working with our partners, including the local councils, to make the best use of the estate available to us.
