Cervical Cancer education events in January
Posted on 3 Jan 2019
If you want to find out about the signs and symptoms, want to talk about smear tests, the HPV vaccination or want to find out how you can reduce your risk, come along to our awareness raising sessions.
Every year in the UK around 3,000 people will be diagnosed with cervical cancer and it is the most common cancer in women aged 35 and under. 75% of cervical cancers can be prevented by cervical screening (smear tests).
The events are aimed at local people in the area…so if you work with:
• Voluntary and Community groups
• Learning and Disability groups
• Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups
• Faith, charities and support groups
• Refugee and Asylum Seekers
We want to ensure all women and people with a cervix know how cervical cancer can be prevented and feel more confident to take up this potentially life-saving test. Medical professionals will be on hand to discuss any concerns people have and bust some of the myths associated with screening. This is an ideal opportunity to meet other people and talk to health professionals who will be on hand to provide information on various aspects of cervical screening.
Please register online and book a place at an event in your area: www.cwcancerevent.eventbrite.com For more information about the events, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
